Every jacket in this collection offers sheepskin leather as its real-leather option. Sheepskin is valued for its fine grain, soft handle and relatively light weight, and it drapes rather than holding a stiff shape. Many styles can also be ordered in faux leather; the product page shows both options.

Sheepskin Leather Jacket FAQs
How does sheepskin compare with cowhide and buffalo?
Sheepskin is generally softer, finer-grained and lighter. Cowhide and buffalo are usually thicker and firmer, with a more structured or textured look. Our leather guide compares all three in more detail.
Is sheepskin the same as shearling?
Not quite. Sheepskin leather jackets use the smooth leather side. Shearling keeps the wool attached, giving a fleecy lining. For wool-lined styles, see our women's and men's shearling jackets.
Is sheepskin leather durable?
With reasonable care it can last for years. It's softer and thinner than heavier hides, so it may show scuffs and creases more easily. That's part of its relaxed character.
Does a sheepskin jacket need breaking in?
Usually very little. Its softness and drape mean most sheepskin jackets feel comfortable early on, although any leather relaxes further with wear.
How do I care for a sheepskin leather jacket?
Check the care label first. Hang it on a wide hanger, keep it away from direct heat, wipe marks with a soft cloth, and use a conditioner made for garment leather sparingly after a patch test. Leave deep cleaning to a leather specialist.
